Workshop Classes

Workshops are an opportunity to challenge yourself, push your dancing, make new friends and get inspired. We’re thrilled that Jonatan and Anna are taking the helm for a one hour welcome class Friday night, seven hours of open level workshops across Saturday and Sunday and over two hours of optional Challenge classes each day. Anna and Jonatan are an up and coming couple from Europe who are in demand across the continent with some great competition wins already under their belt. Check out their biography to learn more about these two international teachers.

Levels

To get the most out of a workshop weekend like this, it is important you stay true to yourself and your abilities, so that everyone can have a fair and equal learning experience. Be fair to the other students in your class, and focus on your own dancing development. Ask your local teacher or email us if you are unsure about your ability to do the Open level or Challenge level classes.

Open: This level is for Intermediate to Advanced dancers. As expert teachers, Jonatan and Anna will make sure that there is a learning opportunity for everyone. As a minimum, you have been dancing for one to two years or more and social dance regularly.

Challenge: This level is for Advanced dancers who are ready for some challenging content – those who teach, perform, practice in a troupe, compete or have danced for many years. You are comfortable with music of all tempos, and with musicality, expression, and rhythms.

Location

All workshops and Friday and Saturday night parties will be at the O’Donnell Youth Centre, Braddon ACT 2612 next to Merici College. Access via Henty Street.
