Levels

To get the most out of a workshop weekend like this, it is important you stay true to yourself and your abilities, so that everyone can have a fair and equal learning experience. Be fair to the other students in your class, and focus on your own dancing development. Ask your local teacher or email us if you are unsure about your ability to do the Open level or Challenge level classes.

Intermediate: This level is for Intermediate dancers. Our expert teachers will make sure that there is a learning opportunity for everyone. As a minimum, you can do an eight count swing out, eight count, six count rhythm’s, starting to explore more complex footwork and rhythms and  have been dancing for one to two years or more and social dance regularly.

Advanced: This level is for Advanced dancers who are ready for some challenging content – those who teach, perform, practice in a troupe, compete or have danced for many years. You are comfortable with music of all tempos, and with musicality, expression, and rhythms.

Challenge: This level is for open to all dancers and is designed to challenge your dancing no matter where you are in your journey. The teachers are skilled at ensuring there is something for everyone and try something a bit out of the box.

Location

Intermediate Classes and Friday/Saturday Night parties will be at the O’Donnell Youth Centre, Braddon ACT 2612. Access via Henty Street.

Advanced and Challenge Classes will be at Ainslie Arts Centre
