We’re thrilled to welcome Jessie Gordon and her band to Jumptown Jam 2026.
Four other incredible musicians supporting Jessie include Mark Turner (Guitar & Vocals), Ben Vanderwal (Drums)- also from Perth, James Luke (Double Bass), and Damien Slingsby (Keys) 0 from Canberra.
No stranger to Canberra or to Jumptown events over the years, this marks the first time Jessie will be joining us both as a teacher and as the main artist for the weekend — fully immersing herself in the Jam experience.
A multi-award-winning jazz and blues vocalist from Perth who regularly tours Europe, Jessie is known for her infectious energy, vintage style, and magnetic stage presence. Whether belting out a swinging classic or easing into a sultry blues, she brings charisma, soul, and a deep love of the music to every performance.
With years of international touring experience and a genuine passion for connecting with dancers and audiences alike, Jessie Gordon is always a highlight — and we can’t wait to have her lead the music for Jumptown Jam 2026.

Steph Ashby:
Steph has loved dancing from a young age, exploring ballet, jazz and tap before rediscovering her passion for dance through swing dancing in 2015. Since then, she hasn’t stopped – and is now an established performer, instructor and DJ within the scene. Steph is passionate about the joy, creativity and community that swing dancing brings, and loves sharing not only her enthusiasm for Lindy Hop and jazz dance, but also her deep appreciation for the music at the hear of it’s history.
This is the first time Jumptown has experienced Steph DJing for us at the Jam and we couldn’t be more excited.
